Arranging a category
- Go to Products and press Arrange.
- Choose the Category from the drop-down.
- Drag a product by its handle on the left, or use the up and down arrows. Top sends a product straight to the start.
- That is it: it saves straight away. Use View in the shop to check.
Good to know
- Out of stock and discontinued products always show at the end in the shop, whatever order you set.
- Customers can still choose another order, such as price or newest, from Sort by on the category page.
- A sub-category that has not been arranged uses its main category's order.
- You can also open Arrange from a category in Settings > Categories with Arrange its products.
Fallback order
Each product also has a Fallback order number in its Details. It is only used where a category has not been arranged, so most of the time you can leave it alone.
Seasonal changesMove seasonal products to the top when they matter, such as gifts before Christmas, and back down afterwards. It takes seconds and the change shows at once.
